Født: 1970. Ringkøbing. Bor og arbejder i København.
Uddannelse: Billedkunstner, Det Kgl. Kunstakademi, Kbh.: 1995-2002
Jeg arbejder stedsspecifikt og arkivbaseret med fotografi, lyd, video, tekst og installation i forskellige montageformer. Montage er en kunstnerisk optik, et udtryk og metodisk forhold, hvor jeg kan arbejde med både det billedlige, det sproglige, det tidslige og det rumlige. Mine værker bygger på lang tids indsamling af materialer i historiske arkiver og egne fotografiske registreringer, lydoptagelser og tekstskrivning. Værkerne er rumlige og digitale montager af kunstnerisk dokumentation sammenstillet med bearbejdet arkivstof og fiktionsfortællinger. De præsenteres i kunstinstitutioner, offentlige byrum og landskaber hvor der ofte også indgår publikationer, lydperformances, lydvandringer og webprojekter.

Siden 2005 har jeg udført kommissionsværker til Tate Modern, London (UK), Kunstruten Bjergby/Mygdal, (DK), Hordaland Kunstcenter, Bergen (Norge), Jugendstilsenteret, The National Centre of Art Nouveau & Kunstmuseet KUBE, Ålesund (Norge) og Bispebjerg og Frederiksberg Hospital, Kbh., (DK).
I de seneste år har jeg involveret forfattere, komponister og musikere i mine værkers lyd- og tekstproduktioner: Rasmus Zwicki, Ask Kæreby, Tim Hinman og Rune Søchting. Martin Glaz Serup, Julie Steen Knudsen og René Jean Jensen. Fra 1998 – 2010 har jeg også samarbejdet med kunstnere som Sofie Thorsen og Pia Rönicke.
Mine værker indgår i samlinger i Ny Carlsbergfondet og Museet for Samtidskunst og Kunstmuseet KUBE, Ålesund. Jeg har modtaget Statens Kunstfonds Arbejdslegater, Kunstrådets Legat v. Talentudviklingspuljen for Unge Kunstnere, Akademirådets årlige hæderslegat samt BKH-støtte i.f.b. med Hordaland Kunstsenters 35 jubilæumsår i 2011, Bergen, Norge.
Siden 2003 har jeg desuden undervist på kunstakademier, forskoler, kunsthøjskoler i Europa. I 2014-2018 var hun lektor i billedkunstnerisk praksis på Det Jyske Kunstakademi, Århus.

I work in a site related way with photography, video, sound, tekst, drawing and installation. My artistic practice is based on long term research at public and private archives collecting material parallel to my own visual documentation, sound recordings and writings. In my presentations I explore montage in many ways – both as method, concept, material and as spatial forms. My works guestions the meaning of site, history and narrative structures. How cultural memory can be complex constructions of fictions and facts. Since 2011 I have been commissioned to develope sitespecific works to urban public space and landscapes. Here installations, audio walks, liveperformances and web publications are presented as long term collaborations with historical archives and art institutions.
In recent projects I have involved writers, composers, musicians and sound artists in the proces of producing sound and text. ( Composers / Musicians: Rasmus Zwicki, Ask Kæreby, Tim Hinman, Rune Søchting. Writers: Martin Glaz Serup, Julie Steen Knudsen and René Jean Jensen). From 1998 – 2010 I also collaborated with artists as Sofie Thorsen and Pia Rönicke.
